The Blue Gilson Opal is a beautiful piece that is a flush inlay oval shaped pendant surrounded by sterling silver with a sterling beaded accent on the bottom. Gilson Opal was created by Pierre Gilson Sr. in 1974 in a laboratory in France; the process produces opal that mimics all the chemical and physical properties of genuine opal and takes 14 to 18 months to grow. This pendant is handmade from the 90’s. It is marked sterling. It hangs approximately 1 1/8” long from the bale and ¾” wide. It weighs about 2.8 grams. It is a gorgeous piece!
