Description: Original WWII era New Surplus Data/Map Case for Stearman, AT-6, SNJ and other WWII era military aircraft. In the Stearman one attaches to the rear of the front cockpit seat and a second one attaches under the baggage lid. In some of the early model SNJ’s and AT-6’s, it is located in the baggage compartment attached to the rear bulkhead. These are becoming hard to find in original New Surplus condition. There have been some reproductions being made from scratch. This one is an original! It looks to be in good new surplus condition with no damage. It measures 12-1/8” wide x 10-1/4” tall x 2-1/2” deep. The lid has two hinges which are spring loaded. When you close it, it goes over a button and snap. To open it you push the button and pull on the leather strap. The piano hinge springs that hold the flap open are a little rusty and may need to be re-plated or replaced. What you see is what you will be receiving! Please Note: Shipping Charges are non-refundable. Items are subject to a 20% restocking fee, on a case to case basis. If you purchase more than one item please wait for an updated invoice with adjusted shipping charges. Thank You
