There is very little information on WWI era Navy Collar Disks. There is some information in Scipios book "The Collar Disk Story" on the various insignias. I have heard from some people that this disk may have been worn by men for a Naval Landing force, Navy Corpsman, or Navy men attached to ground troops of the Army or Marines. I don't know for sure, its a great disk to add to the collection. The disk is a tad smaller than the normal Collar Disk. This disk is a perfect replica down to the brass screw back.
