Description: WW1 US Army M1917 Brodie Helmet Red Arrow 32nd Infantry Division Doughboy Decent condition for its age. The outside of the helmet has paint loss, spots of rust, and white spots of discoloration as shown. The red arrow insignia is faded and has some paint loss but is still easily seen as shown. The inside of the helmet has similar issues, with paint loss, spots of rust, and white paint spots. The helmet buckles have split butterfly rivets indicating this was a British made Brodie helmet as shown. The leather strap holding the liner to the helmet has rotted out and the liner is loose as shown. The helmet has a solid ring that was once rubber loose inside as shown. The liner shows its age, the leather straps are dry and stiff, the netting is dry and old, and the leather liner is dry but still a little pliable. The cloth pad at the top of the inside of the helmet has signs of age and wear. Please refer to photos for complete condition.
