Description: On offer, an autographed copy of Lawrence Welk's 1971 autobiography (written with Bernice McGeehan), Wunnerful, Wunnerful! Welk started out as a popular accordionist before becoming a band leader who hosted his eponymous television program, The Lawrence Welk Show, for over thirty years from 1951 to 1982. Welk's "champagne music" style was famously geared toward older listeners; in an age of rock and roll he came to signify an adherence to the musical past. Here are the condition notes: HC/DJ in good condition. Dust jacket shows moderate wear including edge wear, a couple of very small tears at the bottom and one larger tear on the back cover. Red cloth covers are in very good condition with light wear and a lightly bumped corner. Autographed by Lawrence Welk on the flyleaf; also on the flyleaf someone has inscribed a gift message from Christmas 1991 and this has subsequently been crossed out. Interior is otherwise clean and unmarked with bright white pages.
