Description: Woodpecker Whirligig (Body 7.75”L x 2” W/Wingspan 11” L/Beak 1.25”) The whirligig's body is cut from 3/4". The wings are cut from finnish birch, painted with exterior acrylic paint, and sealed with Polyshield Hydrocote...a weather resistant protectant. I use brass hardware (screws, washers, bearing, propeller and pivot tubes). The beak is composed of a square-cut nail. High quality products are used to make my whirligigs more durable. A 12 inch brass rod is included for mounting. **When you purchase this mini whirligig, you will receive a 12” brass rod ONLY. The 12 inch rod can be used alone to mount the whirligig close to the ground….in a flower pot or in a flower bed. If you want the mini whirligig to set up higher off the ground, the buyer can purchase a wood dowel and create a taller mount. *Please note that each whirligig is slightly different-handcut and handpainted, with some variations in color shades and details.
