If you install and maintain it properly this plate should prevent leaks in your roof. Required to purchase "Putty Tape", to put all around under edges of plate, at your RV parts store. Once you have screwed the plate in place, it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to apply "Self Leveling Scellant" on the edges and on the screws, also at your RV parts store.
