William Wood Bronze Ruby 41mm Automatic Men's Watch

Description: This watch was part of a limited run = xx/200 Bronze automatic diving watch featuring vintage fire bell seconds hand, fire engine pattern seconds track, crown made from a 100 year old melted-down British brass firefighter's helmet and straps made from up-cycled fire hose. Beautifully presented in our red genuine Italian leather, fire hose inspired travel roll, that holds up to 3 watches. Case Measurements:The case measures 41mm in diameter, with a 15mm thickness (15.5mm including glass) and a lug width of 20mm. The watch wears as a medium size on an average wrist as it showcases a raised double domed sapphire crystal glass. Lug to Lug:The lug to lug measurement is 49mm.Case Execution:Case is finished in CuSn8 grade bronze with the sides and lugs executed with a brushed finish. Bronze will age and patina over time changing both color and texture. The case can be brought back to looking brand new again by applying lemon juice. The aluminum bezel is unidirectional with a soft setting to each click. The caseback engravings such as our limited edition or authenticity markings are applied through laser engraving. Movement:Seiko Group (also known as Time Module) NH35 Automatic Movement with a power reserve of up to 41 hours, 24 jewels accuracy and 21,600 beats per hour. Seiko timekeeping tolerances for the NH35 movement is -20 seconds per day to +40 seconds per day. This durable movement has been produced by Seiko Group for decades and is known as the workhorse in the watch industry. For full power reserve Seiko suggests winding the crown 55 times before use. Dial Execution:The dial has a matte coloured finish with cut-out indices and a date window located at 3pm which is operated by the watch crown. The dial and hands are curved creating a subtle optical illusion when looking through the side of the double domed sapphire crystal glass. Sat below the dial is a C3 grade Super-LumiNova disc finished in the color green. Dial Design:Printed around the outside of the dial is our seconds track which is the exact checkered markings off the side of a British fire engine. The two batten shaped indices positioned at 12 represent the lapel markings that a Crew Manager wears on their uniform in the UK Fire & Rescue Service. The front of our second hand is inspired by the chime inside of a vintage fire bell and the back of the hand represents the head of a firefighter axe. The William Wood iconic vintage firefighter helmet logo is applied to the dial with microlevel detailing. Crystal:The material used in the glass is sapphire crystal with an applied anti-reflective coating. The glass is completely scratch resistant and finished with an impressive double domed curve. The glass is tinted with a medium blue color paying tribute to William Wood’s 25 years of service on a shift pattern called The Blue Watch for the Newcastle & Gateshead Fire Brigade. Strap Measurements:The fire hose and fire gear straps fit a wrist size between 5.5 and 9.5 inches. The up-cycled fire hose and fire gear straps are finished with a silicon back that is stamped with ‘made from rescued materials’ and ‘William Wood’. The quick-release levers allow you to add and remove strap without any additional tools required in just a few seconds. Water Resistance:100M / 10ATM===Condition: This watch is in mint condition.
