Description: Here you have a wonderful bit of RARE AND VINTAGE BASEBALL MEMORABILIA! Please...SEE THE SCANS! This is WASHINGTON'S OLYMPIC CHAMPION CREW featured in an ORIGINAL 1937 ISSUE OF "THE SUNDAY OREGONIAN MAGAZINE." This is a one-page pictorial article looking at university athletic programs using either local athletes or out-of-state athletes... The piece is titled WHY CAN'T LOCAL BOYS MAKE GOOD? (OREGON BOYS... WASHINGTON BOYS... AND THEY COME FROM CALIFORNIA, ILLINOIS, MICHIGAN...) You can see the shot of the crew team and COACH AL ULBRICKSON on the lower left. Husky Football Coach Jimmy Phelan also appears, as do football players JOE GRAY of OSU, JAY GRAYBEAL of Oregon, and BYRON HAINES of Washington. ABove are MIKULAK, GRAYSON and STANFORD... This is newstock as it was an insert in the Oregonian Newspaper out of Portland. This measures 21 1/2 inches X 15 1/2 inches. It has slight vintage edge and corner wear. This was purchased off the news stand back in 1937 by a master collector who took it home and put it in a box where it has been neatly stacked ever since. THIS WOULD LOOK GREAT IN A FRAME. Gently treated and a tough find! This is a great piece FOR THE COLLECTOR! Take it home with you! GOOD LUCK! Please Check Out My Ebay Store for more great memorabilia! I am happy to send this to any country. 1st class international air postage will be charged. More excellent packaging and free shipping here in the United States! THANKS! 020517
