True-To-Original Spec Transformer The WA-47 is built with a custom, true-to-original spec TAB (AMI) transformer that delivers the same performance of transformers found in vintage original 47 tube mics. The sweet sonic character of the WA-47 would not be possible without the amazing, historically correct transformer supplied by TAB-Funkenwerk. Premium Tube & Capacitors The premium 5751 vacuum tube in the WA-47 delivers true analog tone with exceptionally low gain and (11dBA) self-noise. Premium polystyrene, WIMA, and Solen French capacitors are used throughout the WA-47 circuit, providing the excellent signal conversion that this circuit demands. Premium Swiss 7-Pin Gotham Cable Often overlooked, the cable connecting a tube microphone to its power supply is quite a critical element of the signal chain. The WA-47 uses a custom GAC-7 7-pin cable from Gotham, Switzerland. The design and build quality of this cable increase the top-end presence and the overall size of the recorded image in the stereo field by reducing phase shift and the parasitic effect often found in poorly built cables.
