Description: Vintage Syroco Wood bookends. The Syroco Wood Company was established in 1890 is Syracuse NY. The company was known for a wood pulp processing technique that allowed the pulp to be added to molds and harden to resemble solid carved wood. This process was used exclusively for the early years of the company until about the 1950's. The bookends look great with vintage books or alone as mantle or shelf decor. The ornate leaf or sometimes described as feather design is timeless and would really fit into any design style. This set would make a great gift for your favorite book worm or your friend with a newly remodeled home office. Each measure 7” high x 5.5” wide x 3.5” deep Please note that we do our utmost to inspect, review and display the items we sell very carefully, and include photos as an integral part of the description.
