Description: Rare Set of Three Marsha K Howe Original Signed Numbered Etchings. Early Runs! These are original ‘hand-pulled’ print from a zinc plates on which the design was drawn freehand by Marsha and they usually only hold their line-image quality for a maximum of about 300 pressings. So, these are ‘limited edition’ in the sense that the plate can’t be used for mass production and also because Marsha usually limited her runs to 200 prints… all hand signed and numbered. Mine have one rare 50 run of the Wood Duck and the other 2 are on 150 runs. The Wood Duck rarely comes up for auction at art houses! The lot features a variety of animals, from the grace of horses to the tranquility of ducks, all rendered in a 3D style that brings the subjects to life. Each piece is meticulously crafted with a mix of media including charcoal, colored pencil, and pencil on matte paper, resulting in a rich textured feel. All hand flowed from the original zinc plate. The collection is matted and framed with glass ready to display. The lot consists of 1. Sea Otters -39/150 from 1980 2. Foal 115/150 from 1980 3. Wood Duck 22/50 from 1978 Each frame measure approximately 14 by 9”. The sea otter etching has a bio of Marsha Howe attached to the back. Please see pictures! Some of the frames have some minor scratches which is normal for the age. I will package carefully! Thank you for viewing my listing
