Description: This listing is for a RARE and very unusual clear cut glass pedestal candy dish/compote with a lid that has a thumbprint design. The base has a wonderful double scalloped skirt that hangs over the rim of the bowl. The base is cut crystal that flows into a 7 sided pedestal. This piece is EXTREMELY heavy and very high quality. Condition is EXCELLENT, no chips, cracks or nicks, has a few minor scratches on the base and one very tiny flea bite, see photo. Measures 11 1/4" tall (including the lid), 6 1/2" in diameter, with a base diameter of 4 1/2". There isn't a mark so I don't know the origin or maker but this is an absolutely stunning piece, the pictures don't do it justice!
