Handmade and signed (illegible) by a skilled & talented artist, this vase features an abstract, hand-turned design in a deep red color with dark grey spotted accents, a putty color at the neck and inside the vase, and a unique, sea foam green color added near the bottom, a lovely combination! The neck is all hand-turned, top & vase opening is almost abstract — it is not perfectly round —& the inside is beautifully-painted & glazed, as well. The stoneware vase has a glossy finish and is hand-molded for a unique look. Measuring 6 inches tall and weighing 1.65 pounds, this mid-century modern style vase is perfect for any collector or lover of decorative pottery. With an impressed backstamp and original production technique, this vase is an authentic piece of art pottery. This is in very good vintage condition, the only issues being a small chip on the unfinished base, but because it is the same color, it is not a very noticeable chip, and there is some basic crazing, common for vintage hand-painted art pottery pieces. It is quite weighty, at 1.5 pounds. Very lovely vase!
