This is an original WWI M1895 Service Guidon with Supply Company, 306th Field Artillery Regiment, from France. It is a great addition to any militaria collection, especially for those interested in WWI (1914-1918) memorabilia. The flag is in good condition with some signs of use, but still holds its historical value. The flag is also authentic and not a reproduction. The guidon was originally used by the 306th Field Artillery Regiment during their service in France. It is a rare and unique piece of history that tells a story of sacrifice and bravery during a time of conflict. This item is highly sought after by collectors and historians alike, making it a valuable addition to any collection. This guidon is made of silk on wool and measures 41” by 27”. It’s a French made piece. 306th F.A. Regt, 122d F. A. Bde, 77th DIVISION For sixteen long weeks, with scarcely a rest, the 306th kept its guns barking at the German strong- holds. Recruited largely from city sidewalks, the men and officers of the regiment were welded into a military machine that feared no failure. The 306th Field Artillery was part of the first National Army Division (77th Division) to arrive in France ; part of the first National Army Artillery Brigade (122d Field Artillery Brigade) to fire a shot at the enemy; the first to be made responsible for a divisional artillery sector; the first to take over an active sector ; and a part of the only Artillery Brigade that saw the start and finish of the Argonne-Meuse operations. It was kept in the lines or on the march continually from mid-July to the cessation of hostilities, with the exception of a few days in reserve during October. Upon resuming position, the regiment found the lines very nearly where it had left them. Following the signing of the Armistice the regiment was withdrawn from the lines, and billeted in the village of Dancevoir, Department of Haute-Marne. It was here that the members of the regiment first conceived the idea of placing within the covers of a book the tales of their adventures in the Army. The illustrations were made by artists whose sketch- books were carried about with them in village and field. The history was written entirely by officers and men of the regiment who were eye-witnesses of the events they record. " So, from the idea of keeping alive these memories of the regiment in camp, battle- field, and billet, this book was born. NOTE: THIS AND 100% OF ALL MY AUCTIONS AND LISTINGS GO TO BENEFIT MY 12 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER ALLISON DAVIS. I have had custody of her since 2012 when she was 6 months old. She had been very healthy and had never been really sick before 2020. She started showing signs of being sick around December 2020. Her stomach was distended and rock hard. The family Doctor stated that she was constipated and prescribed dietetics. This made her really weak. She ended up in the Pediatric ICU around April 2021. She was diagnosed with Leukemia. It was Acute Myeloid Leukemia. This is stage 2. Her stomach wasn’t hard because of constipation, it was her spleen. Her spleen was absorbing all the cancerous white blood cells and blocking her stomach and bowels. She was essentially starving to death. She was in ICU for about 3 months. She was released, but her spleen was still large and could only eat Carnation Instant Breakfast. Eventually her spleen reduced in size and she started gaining weight. She was reduced from stage 2 to stage 1 Chronic Myeloid Leukemia or CML. It really felt like a win. She was prescribed Sprycel. It’s very toxic, but the only thing that works on Myeloid Leukemia. She’s been taking Sprycel for the last 3 years. Unfortunately, her levels are rising again even with the chemotherapy. I was recently told that she’s going to have a biopsy next month in October because her levels are going back up and she’s about to have to start Radiation therapy by Christmas. Her survival rate is at 8 years. This being said, this cancer is extremely rare and usually only attacks seniors, men in there 60s to 80s. It’s usually something else kills the patient before the cancer does. The hospital were Allison goes hadn’t had a case of AML in 14 years. This being said. She been prescribed Sprycel and has had to be increased to the maximum dose of 120mg and it’s extremely expensive. It’s $15,000 a month without insurance. This is crazy. It’s a life saving medication. This being said, these charges like this have nearly crippled my family financially. I’m a single father and I’ve had custody of Allison since she’s was 6 months old. Her mother hasn’t seen her in 8 years. Furthermore, I’m my parents caregiver. My father is legally blind because of diabetes and my mother has dementia. You can see that this is all very hard. I have started selling my collection of uniforms to offset the charges that have arisen because of her treatment. I inherited these uniforms from my grandfather around 2000, I have also started to sell my coins as well. 100% of my sales go directly to my daughters treatments, doctor appointments, wellness, and comfort while she’s undergoing chemotherapy. She’s celebrated her 12th birthday because of you and people like you.
