Description: This shifters came on a project bike I purchased, and while I’m really impressed by their solid build and performance, I wanted a 2x10 instead of a 3x7. They work well, just have to make sure you keep it aligned correctly to switch from friction to indexed (the motion of turning it can cause it to drift a little out of position and not engage), once you switch it and screw the internal post back in it’s rock solid in whichever mode. Obviously there are cosmetic scrapes on the exterior and the inner metal of the screw-in column that you take out to install/change rear shift mode (not sure what you call that part!!) has developed some rust - it could be cleaned maybe but it doesn’t affect the performance (the housing is very firm/durable plastic - so no metal on metal rust contact with the interior parts!) . I seriously doubt I’ll use these again any time soon and could use a few extra $$-
