Description: This product is a vintage primitive rustic shoe shine box made of heart pine, it appears. It comes with accessories and vintage jars in their original boxes. The shoe shine box is an original piece from roughly WW2 era and is crafted in the United States likely in a workshop from scrap jobsite lumber; the nails vary. Check out the later photos. The color of the box is well aged and nicely patinaed pine. All of the jars have been opened, i think. Some of the boxes are in better shape than others; the smaller ones ought to display well. A few of the inner box flaps are torn. The stamped price on the esquire box shows 39c. Note the nice patina where the soles of the shoes rested and the ravages of inflation or the bootblack's desire for more money got the better of him as the price doubled from a nickel to a dime. One "shiny dime" was the cost of a shoe shine in 1932, per Google. But that was for a NYC professional bootblack; this is likely not that. It is from an estate sale in Richmond, VA, and is as found. The larger brush has a logo that is worn off. I can see it saying made in USA and Shoe Polisher. I took several photos of it. Examine all the pictures and consider them to be part of the description. Items will ship well padded and secure by USPS ground advantage within 3 business days of receipt of payment. No returns. Thanks!
