Description: Vintage Primitive Christmas Hand Made FOLK ART Miniature GARDEN GATE & FENCE Click images to enlarge Description VINTAGE FOLK ART PICKET FENCE DECORATION Adorable vintage hand made miniature wood garden fence and gate decoration measuring approximately 12-1/2" long. Standing about 6-1/2" tall and consisting of a tiny picket fence with end columns mounted on wood base with a hinged center fence. Probably a summer project dating 1940s-1950s, it was painstakingly made by someone with a bit of skill - construction is done with minute nails and a heavy coat of white paint - gate is festive green. Time and age have warped the gate and the two sections will no longer swing open and closed - does not detract a bit - no breaks, loss or major damage - some cased dirt and dust and crackling to the paint and a few pieces of ancient tape on the base. Wonderful folk art appeal, this little cutie would be charming displayed with vintage Christmas ornies, a tiny feather tree or Santa decorations! Sweet addition to any collection or display!!
