Description: Vintage Pre-1969 Konigl Pr Tettau Munchen / Munich Germany Souvenir Ashtray w/ Gold Gilt and Hand Painted The image of the "Munich Child" is a comical, modern symbol of the Bavarian city fashioned after the monk that appeared in the official seal on historical, official city documents. The book of laws held by the monk was replaced by the turnip or white radish, a more modern symbol of the arrival of the fall season in Munich. The other hand holds a stein of beer, another proud, though unofficial, symbol of the city. Dimensions: 5.25" diameter, 1" depth Condition: No chips, cracks or signs of repair. The gold gilt is lightly faded and worn (see photos). Feel free to contact us with any questions.
