Description: Vintage Northwest Coast Native Hand Woven Cedar Bark Whaling Hat w/ Bead Work This is a Northwest coast native Canadian tribe unsigned hand woven cedar bark whaling hat with bead work. I believe this to be worn in dances. The hat measures to be approximately 9" long by 13" in diameter for the outer rim and 7" in diameter for the inner rim. This is previously owned. The basket hat has very light/faint ware/white dried liquid splashed on it - might be able to come off (shown in photos) and slight fraying, overall in great condition.
