Vintage Late 1950s or Early 1960s | Taupe Swing Coat | Printzess

Description: This beautiful vintage coat from the late 1950s or early 1960s is well preserved and waiting for a new life.It is a swing style coat, approximately 41" in length with 22" sleeves. (See photos for how these measurements were taken.)A single button at the collar makes for a simple statement. A second hidden interior button helps keep the coat hanging smoothly.The tag reads "Printzess, Lined with Milium, Fashioned by Printz". (You can google 'milium lining' if you want more info on that!)A classic tweedy taupe fabric, side pockets and top-stitching make for a timeless design.This coat is perfect for autumn into the winter months.The other tag reads "The Kathryn Shoppe, Frankfort, KY". This coat belonged to my great aunt, a long-time resident of Frankfort.A note about size: There is no size label on the coat. My guess that in today's world, this would be about a size 4. (I am wearing the coat in the photos. I am 5' 7".) Having said that, there is room to go either way - a little smaller to a little larger - depending on what is worn underneath the coat. The way it hangs, really all that matters is the shoulders and perhaps the bust for determining the fit. There is no fit around the waist or hips. If any further measurements are needed, please ask.Last thing...I have not dry-cleaned this coat. There are no stains or spots and the coat appears very clean. It has been hanging with a plastic bag over it for several years now in my possession. But it does have a very slight vintage odor to it and you may want to dry clean it before you wear it. Please be aware of this before you buy, in case this matters to you.
