Description: This vintage triple pack set of IMPERIAL SILLY DILLY Sky Diving POOPA-TROOPERS parachuters , from 1970 , is an extremely rare find for collectors! The price reflects the rarity. Following POOPATROOPERS on eBay for more than a decade there has been only one sealed package with slingshot. I purchased this back in 2017. The majority of kids bought an individual POOPATROOPER from a checkout counter tub at convenience stores. The cost of a metal frame slingshot raised the purchase price and were only seen in department stores. To be honest, I remember the slingshot bending fairly easily and not launching the parachutist into the sky any higher than I could throw one. The set includes three rubber figures with parachutes ready to be launched into the wild blue yonder with a metal slingshot, and they are still sealed in its original packaging. The Imperial brand is well-known for its high-quality toys rubber figures, and this set is no exception. This was the inaugural release of POOP-A-TROOPERS in 1970. The parachute artwork design features lunar modules to tie in with NASA astronauts. This was early in the six trips with mankind landing on the moon and returning to earth, with the capsule splashing down in the ocean, slowed by multiple parachutes. The figures are made in Hong Kong and are perfect for fans of the Paratrooper character family. The set is suitable for ages 8 and up, and would make a great addition to any vintage toy collection. After 54 years a couple of the rubberbands that held the folded parachutes tight to the little men decayed and snapped. These rubberbands were merely attached to make packaging easier onto the blister packs. (Also for preventing parachutes from getting tangled within individual POOPATROOPER checkout counter tubs).
