Description: Vintage handmade velvet quilt, both sides finished, polyester fill. Size is 99" x 80" which I believe is approximately queen. Pictured on a double bed. It's called a string quilt because this pattern was originally made with old silk neckties. Back is finished with feather-stitched strips covering all seams to present a completed look. I started this project in 1960 and took several years to complete - now have twin beds and can't use it. Has been displayed at a couple of quilt shows but never used. Stored in my smoke-free, pet-free home. Please email with questions or requests for additional pictures. I do not use reserves and do not overstate shipping costs.
