Description: Estate purchase. Likely held a convex/bubble ‘fish eye’ mirror, but is a great option to frame military memorabilia or a service person’s portrait. I am not sure of material….cast in plaster or some sort of composition material, then wrapped or laminated in what appears to be copper leaf sheet? It has been painted matte black (chalk paint?), but wasn’t top coated so the paint seems easy to rub off or distress to reveal the copper layer underneath. Laurel leaf accents with eagle. About 16” x 10” overall with approx 7” diameter opening. 2 pounds, 12 ounces - it is HEAVY for size!
