Description: Here is a finely detailed porcelain ashtray in off-white and pale yellow by Belleek Pottery crafted in Ireland in the 1980s.The finish is a high-gloss glaze on a square 4.25" base. It is a pyramid shape with a round well at the top instead of a point. There are 4 cig rests, a deep one at each corner. On each of four sides is a pale yellow embossing of a flower cluster with thorns. It’s a lovely piece of delicate porcelain in very good condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, or signs of use.Backstamp: The gold mark used from 1980 to 1992 reads “Belleek Ireland”. This maker’s mark includes the symbols of an Irish Wolfhound, a round tower, an Irish harp and shamrock-bordered banner. From the currently-operating pottery company’s website: “Established in 1857, Belleek Pottery holds a very special place in Ireland's cultural and commercial heritage.” Thanks for looking.
