Description: Very unusual advertising pin circa 1940s in the shape of a manual can opener issued by the American Can Company touting the use of tin cans for food. The can opener part of the item measures 1/2” long. Overall height is 1 1/2". Cans measure 1/2” high x 3/8” in diameter. All measures are approximates. Both the red and green cans have text on them relating to the quality of using cans for food. Because of the design of this item there is considerable wear to the paper labels on the metal cans where the edge of the tops of the can rubbed against the paper text. The can opener pin does have a C type clasp on the reverse. This item rates at Good as it is intact but has considerable wear to the green paint on what is the handle of the can opener. There is considerable wear to the paper wrapping on the cans. Additionally one of the cans is missing its metal bottom as shown in the jpeg. This item is being sold as shown in the accompanying pictures with the considerable wear noted. No Returns. Ships to the US only. Item will be shipped boxed to prevent damage during shipping.
