This powers up and sounds great to me.AM/FM works CD worksCassette - I don't have any tapes to test. Doors open/close with no issues.Remote does work. It had corroded batteries in it. I installed new batteries and the seemed to work with no issues. I then tried the next day and it didn't work. Pulled out the batteries and re-installed. Worked. Tried again a day or two later and it worked, then didn't. Cleaned the battery connection and it worked. Basically, I think the battery connections might need more cleaning.
