Description: Here is a vintage heavy cloth item that could be used as a small table runner, a dresser scarf, or wall hanging (much like a tapestry). I found it among other fine cloth pieces my late wife had packed in a box that had been stored in our basement for over 40 years. I don’t know the date, but my guess would be the late 1970s.It a woven and with an interesting design. It may or may not be an authentic Damask. Although I do not know the fabric material, it has an expensive feel to it. The piece measures approximately 48 x 23½ inches. Along one edge on the backside are the words “Made and Printed in England” (see photo). The two long edges and one short edge are nicely stitched, and one short edge has decorative ruffles (see photo). It is in GOOD (most would probably say “Very Good”) CONDITION, with no apparent flaws. The fold marks in the photos are due to it having been folded for storage.
