Vintage 1958 Little Toni American Character Doll 10.5” Tall W/ Undergarment

Description: This American Character Little Toni doll was made in 1958 and stands approximately 10-1/2 inches tall. It is marked “American Character Doll Corporation” in a circle on its back and has a similar mark on the nape. Moulded in a bisque finish hard plastic with a soft vinyl face, the doll has rooted Saran hair in a strawberry or medium blonde original set, green sleep eyes with hard moulded one-piece eyelashes and two painted wisps as side lashes. It has painted-on light brown feathery eyebrows, soft pink cheeks and coral lips. It is jointed at the hips, shoulders and neck with a one-piece torso and straight arms and legs. It wears the original one-piece foundation garment (it does not have a label or tag). Condition: The doll is in very good vintage used condition, clean with no stains, no splits, no chews. All joints secure, limbs hold poses. The hair is thick and lustrous in the original set, no plugs missing. Face color is very good with a bit of fading noted on its left painted wispy eyelash. Plastic eyelashes are intact. Eyes open and close as intended. Note that the doll does not have earrings nor earlobe holes for earrings. Chemise has loss of elasticity and doesn’t fully stay up on the doll. Both doll and apparel have mild mustiness, dust and grime from age and storage.
