Vintage 1950s EXCELLENT Stetson 3X Beaver Brown Sz 7

Description: Excellent 1950s lightly used Stetson 3X beaver-Brown- fedora. It’s a perfect everyday fedora. It’s a perfect size 7 and yes we know the tag states size 6-7/8 but back then there was NO size Standardization. It is perfectly shaped! It’s a real looker! Dad and grandson needed to do very little work on this one, just a bit of cleaning and minor steaming to get the shape back to the original style.As you can see the leather sweatband has that allegation type finish. Since this is still in such great condition it could easily be stretched to a perfect size 7-1/8. A $14 Amazon hat stretcher would work fine. You can see that this is an 1950s Stetson because there is a plastic overlay on the liner and the liner design and color. This is a Brown color as seen in picture #1 and the picture of the whole underside is the best representation of the color. This is what Stetson would call a Chocolate Brown. Not sure why we can’t get the color to always come out consistently? Anybody out there has any suggestions?This was cleaned and shaped by my grandson and dad! This looks great with a perfect dip in the front. This is a perfect size 7 at 22 inches. We know there was no hat sizing standardization until 1970 with the Tilley hat sizing chart, still in use today.
