Description: Very rare Rolex Oyster Perpetual reference 2764 circa 1936 with retailer Cooke & Kelvey Calcutta signed dial. Cooke and Kelvey was founded in 1858 and they were the first official Rolex retailer in India and they continue to be an authorized dealer today. The watch is in good overall condition. There is fading to the dial consistent with the age of the watch. The movement was serviced in 2022, it is running great and keeping good time. Included in the sale is a period correct box from the Anglo Swiss Watch Company of Calcutta. They were another Swiss watch retailer from the period that still exists today.
