The purple dye has a light overall ombré texture of fading / differing of the shade of purple / blue, as is common with these vintage purple dyes. It's very subtle, and there is no bold striping or chunks of ombré (if that bothers you.) I think the ombré evolution of the 1930s and 1940s dyes is beautiful!
