Used Krank Revolution 1 Amp Head - Early S/N - Rare Purple

Description: This listing is for an early model of the Krank Revolution 1. The serial number is “0089”. As with most of my music equipment, I am not the original owner of this. This is a very hard to find 100 watt Krank Rev1 amplifier head in the original factory purple tolex. Condition is very subjective, but I would rate this head to be in “ Good” condition. This amp has seen a few different amp techs over its lifetime. The small pcb was fried and has been completely removed from the power tube section (See last pic). Power tubes are now point to point on the chassis, not to the small pcb. Definitely an improvement. Preamp Tubes are a mixture of Groove Tubes: Position 1: GTECC83S Position 2: GT-12AX7-C Position 3 & 4: GT-12AX7 All preamp tubes brand new/relatively new. All 4 Power Tubes are JJ 6L6GC - new and matched. This amp has been professionally inspected, all circuitry cleaned up where needed, biased properly, and ready to rip. Cosmetically it is in great shape. The tolex is peeling off the back plate. The handle has been replaced with a burgundy colored one (brand new). Some minor scuffs and marks, but generally in great shape. This unit does not have an impedance switch. Instead, it has two 4ohm speaker outs, along with one 8ohm and one 16ohm speaker outs. I don’t know the history of Tony Krank, and the design of the Revolution amps to know why most Revolution amps have an impedance selector, while this one does not. The amp and all of its controls perform flawlessly! Which to me is the most important characteristic of any amp. The clean channel is impressive for such a high gain amp, and the gain is really, really nice! A generic 2-button footswitch will be included, as this is the only way to change channels and master volumes. A power cord will be included as well. I have the matching purple cab in great condition, with the matching silver grill, I may list it separately. But that would be local pickup only as it is much too large and bulky to ship.
