Description: For sale here is a very cool US WW1 Doughboy Brodie Helmet. This is a complete helmet with supple attached liner and supple complete chinstrap. This appears to have once been a 30th Infantry Division helmet at one time, but the 30th insignia has been completely removed except for the outline and a few small specs of the red paint. The top of the helmet has had a red peace symbol hand painted on the top. The peace symbol is old paint and shows use, age, wear, and loss over the paint loss to the original finish. The helmet has an unusual brown color that shows quite a bit of crazing and some spots of loss. Underneath, the helmet has a lot stamp of UC310. It also appears that there is some pencil writing under the brim, but i can't maker any of this out. The liner is in great shape. The chin strap is supple, but shows crazing, and some finish loss. An interesting helmet on many levels! Please see my other eBay store at Cadencemiltaria2 for more great items. Please feel free to ask any questions that you may have. I will ship Internationally.
