Description: In 1872 the Ordnance Department adopted this holster by modifying old stocks of Civil War holsters. The old belt loop was cut down and a new swivel belt loop attached. Also, a "wiping rod pocket" was added to the front of the holster. This is a left hand draw holster! All US Army holsters were left hand draw until 1912. I don't make fantasy holsters.
