Hard to Find Original First U.S. Pressing Contemporary Jazz / Fusion / Funk Vinyl Album from The University Of Miami Concert Jazz Band Directed by Whit Sidener. Featuring players including bill Ross, Gary Lindsay, Peter Ballin, Dan Bonsanti, Chris Coleclesser, Jeff Kivit, Jim Crawford, Mike Horbal, Tom Mahr, Randy Eckert, Bret Stamps, Alan Lichliter, Russ Harden, Brad McDougal, David Roitstein, Steve Pronk, Al Ashley, Herman Kelly and Simon Salz. In the Original Shrinkwrapped Cover with NO Barcode, Cutouts or promo markings. CONDITION The Sleeve is in its Original Shrink Wrapped cover and in great shape. There is some very slight shelf wear and corner softening on the opening edge where the shrink is slightly pulled back. Super solid with no writing, stains, splits, tears, etc. and would still rate Near Mint overall. The Vinyl is in clean Glossy condition looking very lightly played. If you look closely you can spot a handful of slight scuffs but still close to New condition. At least EX visually and plays pretty much perfectly other than one or two soft tics - may just need a better cleaning than I can give with my Discwasher brush. The labels show some light spindle trails but are otherwise Near Mint. If I provide Play Grades it is done as a courtesy but I only guarantee the Visual Grade. I have summarized the important (i.e. I think everyone knows what Mint means) points below in Goldmine's words: Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK. Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them.
