Description: A beautiful and very unique to find antique patchwork quilt in a marvelous raised puff/biscuit design top. Marvelous old country quilt in an array of hues done in a light challis fabric. Apparently each square would have been stuffed and sewn together. Laborious I'm certain.Weighty, heavier like a comforter. A winter type quilt made for warmth.Overall strong and very nice but will have a couple of random biscuits/squares with some popping (the majority are still very good) and a few fiber breaks on the backside. The backside has a few areas of fade as well. Some mellowing of the colors over time but overall wonderful old relic and fairly well overall preserved over time.About the latter 1800's-early 1900's time frame.A very pleasing primitive farmhouse textile which displays beautifully as well. Again, super unique look and find in general which makes it very special.
