It was formed from members of the "Belarus" tactical group, members of the "White Legion" and "Young Front", as well as other Belarusians who were not previously part of these formations. The formation also includes a group of volunteers from the Belarusian "Black Cat". On May 21 of the same year, the battalion was reorganized into a regiment, which included the "Lytvyn" and "Volat" battalions.It is named after Kastus Kalynovsky, one of the leaders of the January Uprising of Belarusians, Poles, Lithuanians and Ukrainians against the Russian Empire in 1863, a national hero of Belarus.There is a hard Velcro on the back of patches (chevrons).
