Description: This is a lovely cut glass Compote / Pedestal bowl. Measures: 7-3/8" tall by 6-1/4" wide top rim. This is from the American Brilliant period (1870 to 1920's). It is genuine from the era & a known example...This is signed on the base edge (on top of base) with the Trefoil Hawkes signature. It is a unique shape blank with the twisted stem and punty cuts on the stem for extra bling. The rim has the "U notch" cutting in the valleys of the "sawteeth". The pattern around the compote is also unique having inverted faceted diamonds alternating with well cut Hobstars.Condition: It is over 100 years old. The unique shape compote. I see no chips or fleabites around the teeth but there may be a some inner microscopic contact nips that are not visible but could be felt as that would be common- This one looks gorgeous though so I see nothing to worry about. Scratches and scuffs are typical patina on bases- very minor on this one but present as always................................................................ *No Returns/Refunds Policy*...Please Note that we do not accept returns or refunds.
