Description: Offered is this vintage edition of the classic book "The Secret Garden", written by Frances Hodgson Burnett and published by J. B. Lippincott, with a 1962 copyright date. There are many small black and white illustrations and some full-page color illustrations, all by well-known artist Tasha Tudor. The book is approx. 8 3/4" x 6 3/4" and contains 256 pages. It is in very good condition. The hard red cloth cover has almost no wear, the gold words and pictures still shiny. There is no cracking inside either the front or back cover. The picture endpapers have browned slightly but are otherwise clean. I see no missing or torn pages and all are well-attached to the binding. They are generally clean but there are some spots along the page edges, seen when the book is closed. I see no writing in the book other than a gift inscription on one of the blank pages in the front. I have a lot of experience with vintage and antique books but am not an expert so please let me know if my description is missing information and you have additional questions.
