Description: Offered is the vintage book "The Satanic Verses", written by Salman Rushdie and published in 1989 by Viking in New York. This is a stated first American edition and is a third printing, with a 3 5 7 9 10 8 6 4 number line. The original dust jacket is included. The book is approx. 8 7/8" x 6 1/2" and contains 547 pages. It is in very good condition. The black hard cover has only light wear, the gold words on the spine still shiny. There is no cracking inside either the front or the back cover. The white endpapers are mostly clean but they have browned slightly. I see no missing or torn pages and all are well-attached to the binding. They have browned slightly, mostly around the edges, but are otherwise generally clean and clear. I see no writing in the book. The dust jacket has no tears but is slightly worn along the top and bottom edges and has some light soiling. It has an unclipped price.
