Description: Tadanori Yokoo Posthumous Works 1968 1st ed Author Kiyoshi Awazu, 124 pp. Japan DescriptionA collection of works by Japanese designer Tadanori Yokoo, who caused a stir in the Japanese design world in the 1960s with his striking visual work. He was a brilliant talent from an early age, and drew a poster for the Chamber of Commerce and Industry when he was in junior high school. This book, known as Yokoo's first collection of works, was published in 1968, at a time when his international reputation was growing and his activities were energetic. The book was published in 1967. This book is a concentrated collection of Yokoo's talents, from his familiar posters using the rising sun to his representative theater-related works, such as those of the Situation Theater and the Ceiling Plank, to his illustration work. Texts by Yukio Mishima, Shuji Terayama, Makoto Wada, Ikko Tanaka, and others are also included. The words of Tanaka, "Yokoo is terrorism," are also excellent.
