My mother bought this when she went on a tour at the Swarovski Crystal World (Kristallwelten) in Wattens, Austria in 1995.This coin box is SIGNED by 4 Swarovski designers:Martin ZendronAnton HirzingerMichael StameyEdith MairSigned on July 18, 1995.This is the version 2 coin box that has the gold hinge.The coin has the SCS swan logo and " Swarovski Collectors Society" on one side and the number 100 behind Swan logo, the words "Swarovski" and "1895-1995" on reverse side. Comes with original box, certificate and foam. *** All the Swarovski Crystal pieces in my auctions are from my mother's personal collection. She is the original purchaser and owner. All the pieces were on display in any one of her 4 large curio cabinets. NONE of the pieces were bought at some estate sale and being resold on eBay. My mother was a collector of Swarovski, Hummel, and Lladro for decades and loved her pieces so much that she opened up a collectible store of her own in 1990 called "A Little Bit of Europe" in Aberdeen, NC. She owned the store for 10 years before she retired in 2000. She still worked at the store with the new owner for a few years, just to continue her collection.During that time, her main line was Swarovski Crystal and she was very much involved with the Swarovski Collectors Society and introducing the collection to her customers. She was very dedicated to helping her customers get their Annual pieces and especially the Limited Edition pieces that had limited runs of 10,000 pieces at a time when there were tens of thousands of members worldwide.She would also go to many of the Swarovski events throughout the world and meet the artists that made the pieces. When she could, she would get them to "sign" the pieces they designed. They would etch their signatures on to the piece. So look for those auctions. I traveled with her to Arizona in 1995 and the Annual Atlanta Retail Exhibition on a few occasions. Swarovski was really big into their events, usually lasting a few days. Along they way, she was able to get herself pieces for her own collection as well. The Swarovski Collectors Society, SCS (now the Swarovski Crystal Society) started its Annual Editions in 1987 with a 3 year themed series. Each annual piece was only produced for that year, so it was important to get it before they would not be available. If you missed out or perhaps you did not join from the beginning, there is a huge secondary market. I remember when the 1987 Annual piece, "The Lovebirds", were being sold for over $4,000. She managed to collect many of these series and I will be listing pieces from her Swarovski collection. She was also a big Disney fan and when Swarovski started making Disney pieces, she was all over those as well.
