Description: This was part of a huge box of Frankoma prairie green pottery I bought from the estate sale of a NC/Va. border cabin. There is no signature but it appears to be similar in color and style as the South carolina pieces I've researched. Use for fresh flowers, as a planter, or as a fruit bowl. Sit it by the front door to serve as a catch all for phone, keys, change. It's a versatile piece that looks marvelous even when not in use. 8" across width of bowl and 4 3/4" high. It's a super hard clay with a thin semi gloss glaze resembling a salt glaze. There are teeny tiny fine speckles of brown throughout, I believe it's sand spotted. Parts of the brown turn almost mustard. The green is mossy. This was hutch kept and unused, and is in near mint/almost pristine condition with no flaws. Shop with the seller who ships same or next business day, and who carries a 5 star rating and 100% positive feedback. Thank you for looking and feel free to reach out with any questions.
