Description: This listing is for a set of 4 replacement feet for a number of variously labeled Smith Corona typewriters, probably all made in the 1950's. These were made on request to fit a 1957 Smith Corona Secretarial machine. Please check your machine, these feet are specifically designed to fig snugly into the metal brackets shown in the photos (not included!), if you measure the outside dimensions of the square part you should get about 27mm and 29mm on the two sides, this will confirm you need these feet. Actually, these seem to be a rare variant of machine, I cannot find a single example online matching them, please message me if you have more information on them! These aged typewriters originally had rubber feet that by now may be squashed or have the properties resembling chewing gum under a desk, which is the problem with using rubber (think old eraser). Even if they look ok, they probably have no traction at all, so the machine will slide around making typing difficult. They might even mark up your table, or the hardware will scratch it. Luckily, today we can make much improved feet using modern 3D Printing techniques and synthetic materials, I think they look and function better than the original rubber ever could have, and will hopefully last a lot longer! For the most part, if your machine and feet look just like the photographs, they should fit. I designed these to be nearly an identical replacement, but with the advantages of modern technology we can engineer materials that were previously impossible. I offer two material choices, the original "Glossy" NinjaFlex Black TPU (https://ninjatek.com/ninjaflex/), which is nearly indestructible in ordinary use (but a knife or scissors will cut it, just like rubber!), flexible, and very gripping on most surfaces. I printed these with a partial% infill (with a flexible gyroid fill structure) for a balance between good friction on the table, a secure fit on the machine, and shock absorption while you type. The second option is another synthetic rubber, slightly softer, and with a smooth "Matte" finish, which some people prefer--these have ever so slightly less grip compared to NinjaFlex, which is the gold standard. These look and function just like the original, but should last much longer and be far more durable. If you prefer the original dull rubber look, choose "Matte", or "Glossy", depending on your taste. Old fashioned natural rubber hardens within a few years, these should not! Please ignore other's marketing claims that 3D printed feet have no grip, or that their feet are more "professional". Look at my reviews, these are beautiful and amazing typewriter feet being bought by collectors and dealers alike, I'm regularly told my feet are the best.I designed these for my own typewriter as shown, and this is an experiment to see if it's worth my time to make some more for the community. PS: Ebay's volume discount display is a bit confusing, each purchase is a SET OF FOUR feet, so picking "1" is one set of 4; "2" is 2 sets of 4 (8), etc.**PSS** Typewriters and mounting hardware shown in photos is for illustration and display only, and is NOT included in this listing!! This auction is for sets of 4 typewriter feet only**
