We had received two as gifts but the reality is we only needed one and we are able to share it. We didn't have the heart to ask for a receipt to exchange or return. So, this item has never been opened and it is still sealed though the box was opened to take the photographs. It is a nice item for placing on your shoulder when they are aching. We have used this both hot in our microwave and more often though we have used for cooling taking it out of our freezer. It is weighted so it's a bit heavier when you lay it on your shoulder and it does have a nice smell and it is filled with natural herbs that kind of make your senses be at peace.
