I have highlighted,in pictures with the red arrow, the Z in "SANDOZ" as it looks like the stencil maker accidentally punched the & symbol first, then patched it from the back side. The front is lightly inked with signs of brush strokes throughout the inked area. There are vertical lines rubbing/scratching the ink off which I believe is from pulling in and out of the storage box. On the back, handwritten in pencil, is the date 10/12/32 and the word Samples.
