Description: Professionally rebuilt Ford Autolite or Motorcraft 4BBL carburetors from the 4100 series with the larger 1.12" venturies. This one is unique with the hard to find manual choke. This is not a numbers correct carb for K-code cars but flows and performs exactly the same for far less money. All my carbs are completely dissembled, checked for damage and wear, and cleaned with non-corrosive chemicals (some parts have to be manually cleaned). All steel parts are de-rusted and cleaned in a vibratory tumbler with styrene pyramids and then polished in another tumbler with ground walnut/pecan shells that will embed their natural oils to increase the sheen and prevent rusting. Everything is inspected carefully after the two-day clean and polish process to ensure there is no excessive wear that would prevent proper adjustments. Assembly is "by the book" with all internal and non-running adjustments made. All fasteners are replaced with new bright plated steel. Two new base gaskets are included, and shaft bores worn beyond specification get bushings. New screws are supplied all around and for the choke and throttle plates. You can have just about any jet size, but I typically use a .052/.062" combination for good mileage and all around performance. Shipping is your choice at checkout. If you chose one because of price and it turns out that I can ship it faster for the same or less money, I will. Carbs are insured for their full value due to the sudden proliferation of porch pirates. The pictures are of recent customer rebuilds to make sure you are ordering the correct style. There are different throttle levers (kickdown or not), and some carbs have vent tubes and different vacuum ports, so I will need a description of your ride to include year, engine size, transmission, etc. It will help if you can send me a picture of a carb you are using, but not required. The last picture shows the two types of accelerator levers that are available. The one on the left has a kick down lever found on some, but not all, cars with automatic transmissions. If you have a larger extra rod coming up from underneath the engine compartment in addition to the accelerator cable, you will need the extra lever. A dashpot for the accelerator throttle lever is not included. They are usually not needed and the prices for them are ridiculous. You can easily swap the one on your old carb (just one nut and no connections to make) if you want to use it. They were added to reduce the chance of the engine shutting off when you release the throttle too quickly, but you can fix that by increasing your idle speed about 50-100 rpm. I will send you a core rebate of $100 if you want to send me your old complete and re-buildable one after you get this one. It will be refunded to the same payment method you use through Ebay, and usually posts the on the same day. I drive a 1962 Thunderbird 390 with a 4100 Autolite and am very familiar with its nuances and tweaks for optimum performance.Don't hesitate to write with questions.
