For sale is a very well cared for 10 speed womens bike with original Allvit componentry and Weinmann 750/Vanqueur999 center pull brake caliper system on the front wheels and Weinmann 730 side pull brake calipers on the rear wheel. The wheels are straight and have new tires/tubes on them hold air, and the cableing has been all gone through and upgrades. The gears are smooth and shift as the should and the brakes and brake shoes are in excellent condition. It comes with the original English Made Brooks dual spring wide seat and the wicker basket is original. The frame has good metallic blue paint and most of the decals are in tact including the Raleigh enameled head badge stating that is was made in Nottingham England. The handlebars are original as well as the plastic grips. The front and back wheels/tires are installed with original off-white plastic fenders and they are straight and clean. The chain has been cleaned and oiled and it comes with the original kickstand. Like anything 50+ years old there are some chips and rust spots on some fender bolts but nothing that would detract from the overall beauty and rideability of this vintage high performance bicycle. It looks like a sleeper but is in fact a very quick efficient bike. The basket is the only thing I might consider upgrading since it looks weathered and 55 years old but if you want to rock that vintage vibe, I'd say it's cool as well. This would a great daily rider for some lucky person who is looking for a time-capsuled step through frame 10 speed bicycle. I would say this would work will for someone between 5-5" and 6'-1" (the seat post is adjustable). We would prefer selling to someone local but since everything is so perfectly calibrated and delicate, if you want this shipped we will have to take it to a bike shop to diassemble it and pack it so the shipping will be expensive.
