Description: A beautiful, very rare, early English imari covered large tureen & stand. It is enamel painted in the vibrant imari "Waterlily" pattern. Hand painted colors of iron red, blue, green with underglaze cobalt blue and fine gilt work. The tureen base and tray are marked "Turner's-Patent" in red script, dating to C.1800. There is a sticker inside lid from "Valerie Howard" Campden Street London. In excellent condition. Interior with one underglaze line below handle and one in center bottom of base. See the last two photos. Showing only minor wear, scratches, and glaze imperfections. The tray measures app. 14"11", the tureen 13.5" wide, 9" deep, and 11" top of finial.
